KAPOOR ANISH, RED
Design Philosophy
Red devours space. A void opens where the eye expects surface.
Kapoor's Red confronts the viewer with a large-scale cube, one face concave and one face convex, finished in a deep lacquered red. The void on the side face appears to breathe, pulling the eye inward. The work sits within Kapoor's long investigation into the relationship between colour, void, and the body's experience of space.
